Carter Reid Adams was born on June 9th, 2009. He was full of life and enjoyed everything he did. He was one those boys that could put a smile on your face and make a bad day good for anyone. He would light up a room with his smile. He loved Mickey Mouse whom he called “Pita” mouse. He loved football or “hutball” to him. He also had just started taking an interest in firetrucks. Carter never met a stranger and would frequently go up to strangers and introduce himself or start talking to them about what he had done that day. A funny fact about Carter is that anytime anyone asked him what his name was, his response would be “Carter Reid Adams”, not just “Carter” or “Carter Adams” but always “Carter Reid Adams”. He was so proud of his name.
On February 13th, 2012 Carter gained his angel wings and went to live in heaven at the age of 2. For 3 weeks he fought for his life at Children’s Hospital of Birmingham. He showed tremendous strength during this time even at such an early age. He was, and still is, an inspiration for many because of that strength.
